![]() The material of the compression sock must be durable, strong, and stretchable. While purchasing the right compression stocking, consider the following criteria: Important Features Of a Compression Sock For NursesĬompression socks come with various features that allow nurses to experience therapeutic benefits. However, consulting a doctor first is the most preferred way. If you have minor swelling in ankles, then a knee-high stocking will be great but if the swelling is above the knee, consider wearing a thigh-high compression. So which one should you pick? The general rule of thumb says that first, you have to see the area which is affected on your legs. For women, maternity plus size stockings have a stretchable and highly expandable belly portion. They are used to bring swelling up and out from your legs through the hips, which is a key distinction between a thigh-high and waist-high compression stockings. Waist-High (Worn up to the waist): these compression stockings have both legs connected to your torso position. These compression stockings are made to cover the entire thigh area because it is intended to increase and improve blood circulation throughout your legs. Thigh-High (Worn at the top of thigh): these stockings cover the entire legs up to your thighs, just below the buttock. These socks are often stretchy and might be pulled up over the knee but refrain from doing so because are designed Knee-High for a reason, to treat specific conditions thus, it can be dangerous if you wear them without proper guidance. Knee-High (Stops just below the knee): knee-high compression socks are worn below the bend of the knee just above the curvature of the calf. There are 3 main types of compression socks: ![]() As a nurse, purchasing compression socks must be on your shopping list, but before buying the socks, please do read more about different compression levels that are measured in mmHg and see which is the right fit for you! Types Of Compression Stockings Wearing of these socks prevents blood clotting and pooling, encouraging consistent and proper circulation around the feet, aiding in curing swelling and minor aches and pains. Thus, compression socks for nurses are an effective, most affordable solution. The blood circulation of their legs is inhibited because gravity works against them, putting extra strain on legs, resulting in pain and other medical conditions such as varicose veins and spider veins. Standing, walking for hours, sometimes up to 12 hours or more, nurses usually do not find any real-time to take a rest, especially when a critical operation is going on, making their legs and feet exhausted, tired and swollen. ![]() Why Nurses Should Wear Compression Socks?Īlthough many professions require people to be on their feet for long periods, Nursing is one of them. This is most likely attributed to an increase in sugar content. Surprisingly, it doesn’t smell as jarringly sweet as the orange and trust me, that’s a good thing.įlavor wise both drinks shy away from the usual Redline bitterness and remain fairly sweet throughout the length of the beverage. ![]() It smells exactly like a tropical smoothie and honestly I wish everything I owned smelled just like it. Peach-Mango on the other hand, makes you want to melt. The orange smells very much like Orange-aid, crisp, clean, and very sweet. Logically, the Mandarin has little slices of oranges and the mango has an appetizing bouquet of sliced peaches and mangos.Ĭracking the caps, both drinks instantly appease the senses. Still in attractive blue and red bottles, the only visual cue of the difference is the small fruit graphics on the neck. ![]() So VPX responded with these, Redline Mandarin Orange, and Redline Peach Mango. All were top notch and enjoyed by many, undoubtedly shifting demand away from the Original Redline. Princess came in three amazing flavors, Grape, Apple, and Exotic Fruit. Today, they announce two new, fairly original flavors to their beloved product. But wait, why am I doing a review on a 2 year old drink? Well my fiends, Redline must have heard our solid appreciation for the flavors of Redline Princess. Have you guessed what it is yet? For those less clued in, I am describing the VPX manufactured Redline. With its striking blue bottle, solid white cap, and aggressive red text this drink definitely garners attention everywhere it shows. Review by Josh (blog: cubicalism) Redline Mandarin Orange and Peach MangoĮveryone who has ventured into the energy drink market in the last 2+ years has undoubtedly had a run-in with the original “super” energy drink. ![]() You might have to check more than one, it seems to be taking them some time to distribute their supply. I would definitely suggest picking this up at your local 711. In all I stayed alert throughout more than half of the day and that was AFTER coming off of a rough night of sleep, to any of you who are just looking for a good tasting, energizing drink (Even you guys out there). Any other descriptions would be elementary sounding such as “fluffy” and “cushioned” so I’m going to stick with euphoric. Granted you’re not going to be staring at your wallpaper after drinking this but I definitely felt a pleasant head “euphoria” I guess you could call it. Among similar lines it is also closely related to ephedrine, ecstasy, AND mescaline. The theory that Chocolate acts as a Love drug aphrodisiac is solely backed by the presence of THIS additive. If you’re unfamiliar with this chemical let me quickly explain. No matter what anyone says, this is by far one of the best tasting drinks out there.Īnd that’s not even the best part Vital Pharmaceuticals included a feel good chemical Beta-Phenylethylamine HCl (PEA). Let me explain this, there’s a reason mixed drinks like Apple-tini’s are called girls drinks, and this happens to be the exact same reason this is called a girls energy drink. The drinks come in the usual Redline 8 oz bottles and seem to be empty before you notice you’ve drank any. The Grape flavor went down smooth and resembled a vita-water type taste to it, no complaints here. The Princess comes in three flavors Erotic, err I mean *Exotic Fruit, Grape, and Green Apple and I have yet to taste one that came anywhere close to leaving me with the squinty-eyed electro-shock look I’ve felt from so many other drinks (ahem SPIKED cough cough). ![]() Redline Princess might not sound intimidating to some of you but let me tell you, it’s in a whole new league, better yet it IS the new league. I’m not sure what percentage of the Energy Drink market is targeted towards girls but something tells me it comes nowhere near as close to that of the Male market.Ĭertain drinks may come to mind when picturing the female marketed drinks such as Tab, Go, and Pink but a new product hits the market today and this time it’s being sold by the originators of the Teenage Mind-numbing Redline product many of you are so familiar with. Princesses Aren’t Just a Girls Thing Anymore Leave this one to the bodybuilders since Redline Xtreme has some powerful ingredients not suitable for the casual energy drink consumer. ![]() It’s a win-win, really, so you should probably invest in this eccentric toilet accessory. On a Live Performance Setlist, this seemingly simple approach fails because each song could have a different layer and MIDI configuration. Many production DAWs have a MIDI Learn mapping feature to assign a parameter to an external MIDI Controller. Level mapping can be considered a simple problem to solve. With Camelot 2.0 we extended the Remote Controls to the Master Levels, the Layer and Backing Tracks faders, and Item’s main Knob, giving you the opportunity to keep the most important levels of your live performance under control. Feel free to add any Scene more than one time if you need to recall it at a different moment. Press the “+” button on the Scene Timeline and follow the Wizard. Camelot gives you incredible freedom and flexibility to quickly change and improve your performance show after show. What happens if during the rehearsal the band decides to cut one part or add another section? No worries! In a few seconds, you can add and remove Scenes or click and drag to move them around. Program your favorite sounds on the Layer view for each Scene and using the Scene Timeline, and put the Scenes in the order you need. On the Scene Timeline, you can sequence the Scenes that are recalling your Hardware and Software instruments presets, MIDI routings, configurations, your music scores, and annotations. There are three sections: the Backing Tracks Timeline, the Markers Timeline, and the Scene Timeline. Camelot’s Timeline is not only a playback area, it allows you to keep everything under control, even automating or sequencing different events and actions. The power of Camelot’s Timeline is that it allows you to perfectly structure your song in the exact order it’s meant to be played.ĭo you wish you had a stage tech to switch your instrument presets at the right time while performing? With Camelot, you can automatically switch songs and presets allowing you to focus on your performance and the connection with the audience and your bandmates. You don’t even need to press the ‘Play’ button! Trigger your samples and scenes in perfect sequence, using only one pedal, or automatically play and stop tracks without the need to follow the sequencer for the entire song. You can play back music tracks hands-free and switch hardware and software instrument presets, levels, music scores, and more. Keyboard players, Drummers, Guitar Players, really any band member can benefit from Camelot’s Timeline. ![]() On the Timeline you can have multiple audio tracks with separate audio outputs and, at the same time, use the playback feature to automate the Scene Switch at exactly the right time in the sequence. In the Timeline, you can attach audio backing tracks, add auto-play and auto-stop markers, and even add scene automation. The Timeline is the place dedicated to automation. Camelot 2.0 introduces a new area called Timeline. This allows the library to take care of all edge cases by inserting the "spurious" ANSI escape codes where needed. Therefore if compatibility with many terminals is a goal, it's best to use a high-level library that offers automatic handling of style resets. This somewhat depends on what platform you are on. If possible, it would be better to have an extra button in the cropping-settings window to set the current settings as crop values in the script, without having to save them to vdubmod filter settings before. this becomes unhandy when processing 10+ avs files in a row, since you'd have to reset these values for the new avs for each set cropping value manually. Step 5: Enter Actual Income and Expenses. Make sure to maintain a good cushion in your spending account to handle these variable expenses. For groceries, especially, it's good to use the past 3-6 months. To calculate an average, you can find the total for the past 3 months and divide the value by 3. ![]() Enter an average monthly value for Variable Expenses (monthly expenses that change from month to month, like groceries). For example, if you are planning to spend $600 for Christmas, then put away $50 each month into a special savings account, and budget $50 each month in the Christmas category. That way, the balances in your spending accounts will more closely match the balance shown in the ACTUAL column each month. If you are using the averaging approach, I strongly recommend that you use a special savings account as a holding place for these larger expenses. Include Irregular Expenses (non-monthly large lump payments) in the months in which they will likely occur, or use the approach of averaging the cost across each month. For example, enter the names of Birthdays in comments for the Gifts Given category. This is one of the benefits of using a spreadsheet. Cell comments show up as little red triangles, like the one to the left. Add cell comments as needed to help explain costs. So yes, you could probably get away with a single category for all "Entertainment", but I certainly wouldn't lump regular expenses in with variable expenses. Breaking out your expenses into specific categories will help give you a better idea of where you are spending and therefore where you may be able to cut back. If you have multiple savings goals, add a sub-category for each one. ![]() If you have a negative NET, then you'll need to cut back somewhere or earn more money. If you have extra (a Positive NET value), then you could allocate that to savings or paying off debt for example. ![]() When creating your budget, you would generally want to make the NET (Income-Expenses) equal to zero. Nowadays it is known by the more politically correct term “permanent normal trade relations.” The designation is highly sought after by foreign governments and a designation worth far more than a few Olympic medals. It is a designation that gives a country enhanced rights to trade with the massive American economy. In 1975 Romania secured “most favored nation” status (MFN). Not only was Bill Archer passionate on the topic of gymnastics, he was in a position of power to do something about Andrea. Andrea would later recall waiting for her parents to return at the train station. At the time of the defection Andrea had been staying with her aunt. The Romanian dictatorship was evil and one of the most horrific governments in 1980s Europe, but they weren’t that evil. It was one month before Bela and Marta Karolyi managed to contact Andrea.Īny speculation of the Romanian government punishing Andrea in retaliation for the defection is unfounded. It included free housing, insurance, and a car. Paul Ziert set Bela Karolyi up with two jobs in Norman, Oklahoma that paid a combined salary ranging from $45,000 to $47,000 a year. Regardless of how Bela came into contact with Ziert and how many competing offers he had, the end result was the same. Conner put Bela in contact with his college coach Paul Ziert who was the head coach of the men’s gymnastics team at the University of Oklahoma. While working at the airport he had a chance encounter with Bart Conner. Most sources cite Bela having a wide range of offers to coach gymnastics, but one account states that Bela Karolyi first started working as a painter at the Los Angeles airport. Whereas every other element of this story has events that are rather straight-forward, there is one minor inconsistency and that inconsistency is where this story starts.īela and Marta Karolyi would ultimately settle in Oklahoma on their first leg as gymnastics coaches in America. Like any story involving Bela Karolyi, there are conflicting accounts. But one question that many fans have asked, what about the family members they left behind in Romania? More specifically, what happened to Bela and Marta’s eight year old daughter Andrea? The third defector was their top choreographer Geza Pozsar. They were the husband and wife duo of Bela and Marta Karolyi. In 1981 Romania lost three of its best coaches after they defected to the United States. ![]() MORE on SPANISH VERB, VOCAB and GRAMMAR LEARNING Every week you will get a selection of Spanish Learning material and a verb of the week, cartoon Memory Trigger and items of interest to the student of Spanish: Subscribe NOW to the FREE email Learn Spanish Newsletterīefore you go, be sure to SUBSCRIBE NOW to get your FREE email Learn Spanish Newsletter below.
